Welcome to Mariposa!
Mariposa is an open concept cabin, situated atop a mossy bluff. Minutes walk to Drew Harbour and nearby trail access to Quadra’s beloved Rebecca Spit, as well as close proximity to the local grocery store and pub.
The cabin itself is a truly unique and beautiful space, that we are proud to share with our guests. Distinctively decorated with a queen size sleigh bed, a cozy sitting area and breakfast nook. The wrap around deck provides a relaxing outdoor space to enjoy the quiet of our neighbourhood, and abundant wildlife.
The cabin includes a private outdoor shower and washroom, with an eco friendly waterless toilet. At this time (while we are pet lovers) we are unable to accommodate them. Mariposa is a great escape for writers, or couples looking for some rest and relaxation. It sleeps two people maximum, comfortably.
Coffee and tea set up, as well as bar fridge are available for our guests. In addition we provide breakfast service.
$180 per night plus applicable taxes, and deposit upon booking.
More then just a cabin….
This butterfly shaped cabin is more than just a holiday home. Steeped in its walls, Mariposa holds stories of belief and becoming. It’s metamorphosis was part of my own. Neither transformation without mess or tears, and both now able to celebrate the beauty of the struggle.
In its being, it honours all who came before, all who are, and all who are yet to become part of its story. It is with much gratitude to have the good fortune of this unique cabin, that I open Mariposa’s doors to you. And I hope you are as enriched by its walls, and the natural world surrounding it, as I have been.
